First bonus prize winner - they get better every time!

I like creative and I like surprises.

Ryan gave me both and takes the first bonus prize .

Task 3 - Comparing Computing Devices

This week you should complete the comparing computing devices task outlined on the image below. You have two sessions to complete this task.

Week 2 - Extended learning Imagine you have been given £2000 to spend on a new computer and any hardware or software that you might need. What would you buy (a whole computer or parts to build it yourself)? How much would the individual items cost? Why would you buy those particular items?

The video shows what one gamer put together for about £1500 (not including software) but do you need all this power if you are not playing games? Maybe you just want a massive screen or two to watch films, check out My Space and instant message at the same time...

Extended learning - Week 1

Could the National Lottery run without OMR?

Explain your answer on your own blog.

Task 2 - Input & Output devices

Take the picture from the blog and label it. You need to identify the computer devices, parts and hardware. You also need to say if they are input or output devices.

If you think I have left any out add them. A prize will be awarded to the person who identifies all the parts correctly and adds the most.

Once you have labelled the picture and added any parts you feel I have left out publish it to your blog.

Task 1 - Computer Hardware & Software

The picture above represents some common computer software (can't touch this). Click on it to make it bigger.

Create your own montage of any items of computer hardware you can think of (you can touch this). Some of the images appearing in my montage might appear in yours.

These are the tasks you need to complete this session:

1. Create a blog
2. Give it a suitable name
3. Note down the URL
4. Log onto www.barnwellictrevision.blogspot.com
5. Add yourself as a follower
6. Set up your blogger profile (at least add an image)
7. Complete the computer hardware task
8. Load your image to your blog
9. Load my ‘computer software’ image onto your blog
10. Follow some of your very best friends blogs

Finish off at home if you dont get done.
Dont forget your log in details!
